2nd Anniversary Giveaway

31 Oct

I started designing 2 years ago and I want to do something to mark the occasion! I still have a way to go, but I really feel that I’ve come a long way from my first tries two years ago.

I would like to give away any 2 of my patterns (ebooks excluded) to 2 persons. All you have to do to take part in the giveaway is to comment on this post and tell me which of my patterns you prefer and why. If you want to also tell me what kind of patterns you’d like to see, don’t hesitate.

My own personal favourite pattern is Cretaceous. I really like the different knitting directions and I like how the two different colour yarns emphasize that. I also like the simple lace that highlights the border.

You have until Friday, 4th November 11pm (GMT+1) to leave your comment, don’t forget to include contact information so I can get in touch if you are a winner. I will use a random number generator to select the winners. Good luck! 😀

I don’t know if I’m supposed to leave the names of particular patterns, but I’ve already queued Tricolour Trio (intending them for Christmas gifts, although I’ve yet to find yarn!), and I like the patterns you design that give me ideas on how to use variegated yarn. I LOVE variegated colourways, but I never know quite how to use them in patterns, especially since I love cables so much and I know that variegated colourways and cables don’t play well together!

Glad you like patterns for variegated Min, I love variegated too and I have quite a few in my stash! 😉

I like the Agate Capelet as it was unusual, and the Edderra Shawlette came close. Thanks too for the opportunity to win

      Thanks DĂ©sirĂ©e 🙂
Do you mean women’s cardigan or children?

      • DesirĂ©e 5 November, 2011 at 07:17 #

Women’s… but I would love to see both 🙂

I think Bubo the Owl is one of my favorite knit children’s toys ever — so simple and engaging! But my favorite of your other patterns is Mela: I find it completely fascinating, the way it’s constructed.

Thanks Kirsten, I really like Bubo too 🙂
And Mela is on my shoulder right now, I think it’s fun to knit too, but then I’m biased 😉

2 in 1 easy swaddler because it is so practical.

Candy toes and Thorgal, but I am really partial to Bubo the Owl!

Candy Toes because it looks so complex to make but your description takes away the fear of actually being able to create it. Plus I don’t knit socks all that often and when I see them done well I admire it.
