Alpsee In Use

A little while ago I posted about some beautiful new Tausendschön Sock Yarn I’d just got. Well, I just found some use for the Alpsee colour! Unfortunately I can’t share pictures as I’m knitting socks that I tested for a fellow designer a while back. These socks are due for publication and no pictures can be shared before they are published. Instead, you get a glimpse at the ball of yarn 😉

New Sock Yarn

Once more I indulged in my sock yarn obsession! 😉
I just received two beautiful skeins of Tausendschön sock yarn, the blue-green shade is “Alpsee” and the brown-pinkish one “Kirsch-Praline”. They are gorgeous! Now, to find what to do with them…
These skeins are part of the “Unikat des Monats” Abo. This is a subscription for the month’s unique colour.

Twirly Wrap

This pattern is available in English and German

A simple shawlette, knit sideways. It can also be used as a scarf.

I designed it to use only one skein of sock yarn. It is an easy knit with a simple cable border, perfect for cable beginners.
Instructions are also given to knit it with less than a skein by using exactly the amount of yarn available.

This pattern will work well with all kinds of yarn: plain, variegated or striped.

A Very Bright Shawlette

I just blocked my Tausendschön shawlette. The least you can say about it is that is is bright! No worries though, I love bright and colourful.

I will write the pattern with some modifications and re-knit it in a plain colour to show off the pattern better. The pattern is thought especially for one skein of sock yarn.
