Leo & Lea Sock Yarn Baby Booties

12 Aug

These booties are the perfect way to use teeny amounts of leftover sock yarn. The pattern offers two versions; unisex – Leo – and girl – Lea. The look is rather traditional but the knitting is totally seamless and in the round, there is no picking up of stitches. They will make a perfect baby shower gift and can even be knit at the last minute, an evening should be enough…

I’m working on a pair of matching mittens (in the two versions), stay tuned for these!

Sock Yarn Newborn Booties & Mittens – Girl Version

8 Aug

I’m working on a booties & mittens set for newborns, made out of my favourite yarn, sock yarn. I have finished the girl version and am now working on a unisex version. They will be perfect for baby shower gifts and can easily be made as a last minute gift as they are really quick to knit and use very little yarn. Here is a preview of the girl version, stay tuned for the unisex version 😀

A Girly Baby Set

18 Dec

I just finished knitting a baby set for the upcoming birth of a friend’s baby girl. I was originally going to knit the Baby Surprise Jacket only, but I had quite a bit of leftover yarn. So, I first knit a pair of Becky’s Baby Booties. I still had quite a bit left and knit a Brick Hat with it. I had to play around with the colour arrangement as I didn’t have enough of the natural colour left.

Here are some pictures, the jacket is still missing buttons, I ordered some super cute buttons, but they have not arrived yet. The hat is too big on the doll model though…

Finished a Birth Present Set

And, to keep working on my crochet skill, I crocheted it all, in Bernat Baby Jacquards, “I’m a Big Boy” colourway.

I made a hat, a pair of booties, a blanket and a little kitty. All of it going to my friend Lisa for her baby boy who should be born in about two weeks.
