Arcus

16 Jul

Arcus is an unusually shaped shawl. I designed it especially for sock yarns with long colour repeats and these are the yarns, which will work best with this design. The top of the shawl is V shaped so that the sides will sit on the shoulders comfortably, without sliding down.

New Pattern Teaser

8 Jul

I have a new pattern being tested right now that should be published in 1-2 weeks, It’s a design for sock yarn – my favourite medium – and uses about 1.4 skeins of sock yarn. I designed it for yarns with long colour repeats, such as Schoppelwolle Zauberball or Knit Picks Chroma.

Here’s a little teaser… 🙂

A Few Crochet Projects

7 Mar

I just realised that I hadn’t posted in a little while…

Recently, I made 3 crochet projects, all tests for the designers. Actually, the first two are of the same pattern, except that I made a mistake in the diamond stitch in my first version and, therefore, redid it… It’s the Diamond Romance pattern.

My first version in Zauberball (with mistake)

My second version, with the correct pattern

My third project is a pair of Vanya Armlets (not published yet) by Rachel Petersen. I used Lana Grossa Qui and I love the end result

Knee-High Socks

29 Dec

I finished my first pair ever of knee-high socks!

These will be part of a new pattern, with a simple toe-up knee-high sock pattern with heel flap and gusset. I will add three variations to the pattern, including this stripy version, a cable version I’m working on and a still undecided third variation.

Here are a few pictures of the finished pair.

One Sock

24 Dec

I’m working on a new pattern, which will be for knee-high socks with a basic “recipe” for 3 women sizes and different options. This is the stripy option. I have finished one sock and am now working on the second one. The second option will include cables and the third one might have colourwork, not too sure yet. They are knit toe-up and include a gusset and heel flap.

I’m making these in 2 different colourways of Zauberball Crazy. I love the Zauberball! 🙂

The Shawl Collection

22 Nov

I decided to sell 4 of my shawl patterns as a set, The Shawl Collection. It is composed of the Ederra Shawlette, the Sunkissed Shawl, Twirly Wrap and the Agate Capelet.

The set costs $10.00

Another Agate Capelet

27 May

I posted about the two Zauberball I received the other day. I made my Agate Capelet for a friend with them and it’s now finished. I still need to take pictures of her wearing it, here are a few of it blocking. I really like how these two colours worked together, it is Schatten and Schoko-Creme.

Look at What Just Arrived!

10 May

A couple of Zauberball. I will be knitting an Agate Capelet with them. It’s a commission for a friend. She saw my capelet and begged me to make her one. How can I resist flattery! 😉

Agate Capelet Published On Knit Picks

6 May

I’m super excited to have my first pattern published as part of the Independent Designer Program from Knit Picks. The pattern can be found here.

New Pattern: Agate Capelet

25 Mar

I just published my new capelet pattern, Agate.

It is made out of two different colour-ways of sock yarn. I designed it specifically with the Zauberball in mind, but any sock yarn with long colour repeats will have the same effect. Of course, you can also use two plain colours. It is named after the stone agate. A geologist pointed out to me that it looked like an agate, so Agate it had to be.

Here are a few pictures, including an agate, so you can see the likeness.

Pattern costs $1.99

The Agate Capelet is also part of The Shawl Collection.

More details on the pattern are available on Ravelry:

Allégro Ponchette is Finished

15 Mar

… but still needs blocking.
Lovely project and the Zauberball works really well with this pattern!

Allégro Ponchette

11 Mar

This is a test knit I’m doing for the designer. I’m almost done, the pattern will really emerge once the poncho is blocked. I’m loving the Zauberball colours!

Agate Capelet is up for Testing

19 Feb

A few pictures of my latest design, a capelet. It is named after the stone agate. A geologist pointed out to me that it looked like an agate, so Agate it had to be! It is now up for testing, check here if you are interested and reply in the thread.
