One Done, One to Go

28 May

I just finished my first Knit Picks Tortoise Toes Sock, here it is.

Working on Tortoise Toes Socks for Knit Picks

27 May

I’m glad to announce that my Tortoise Toes socks have been pre-approved by Knit Picks for their Independent Designer Program.

I just received the yarn – Stroll and Stroll Tonal. It’s beautiful and super soft! Here is my first progress picture, love the colour combination!

Another Agate Capelet

27 May

I posted about the two Zauberball I received the other day. I made my Agate Capelet for a friend with them and it’s now finished. I still need to take pictures of her wearing it, here are a few of it blocking. I really like how these two colours worked together, it is Schatten and Schoko-Creme.

Connor’s German Socks

27 May

I just finished a very simple pair of socks for my 4-year old son Connor. They are made using Regia Nations, the Germany colour. Knit top down with a short row heel with 48 stitches.

Another Pair of Skew

25 May

I was visiting my mum in France and decided to knit her a pair of Skew. She saw my pair when I visited a few weeks before and loved them! I had some leftover Felici sock yarn from my Agate Capelet, but not enough of one colour. So, I decided to use both colours and alternate between colours every other row. I love the effect I got this way!

A Last Minute Birthday Present

11 May

One of my sons is invited to a birthday party tomorrow for a 6-year old girl. I decided to knit her a little something in addition to the present we bought for her. I used some leftover sock yarn from my Skew socks to knit a little bracelet. The pattern is part of my Spring Has Sprung hat pattern. It’s a super quick knit (about 20 mins), perfect for a last minute present…

Look at What Just Arrived!

10 May

A couple of Zauberball. I will be knitting an Agate Capelet with them. It’s a commission for a friend. She saw my capelet and begged me to make her one. How can I resist flattery! 😉
