Ederra Shawlette

10 Oct

I finished knitting a shawlette with my beautiful Wollmeise brown yarn and am now working on a pair of fingerless mittens to match it. When these are finished too, the patterns will be test knitted and then published. I really like how the shawlette has turned out! Its name is Ederra, that is Basque for beautiful.

Autumn Knitting

5 Oct

Autumn is here and, with it, a new knitting enthusiasm from me! Summer is just a bit too hot to be excited to knit.

Yesterday, I started knitting on a new design with a beautiful Wollmeise yarn in an autumn shade (Spice Market colourway), very appropriate for the season. I’m very excited about how this is turning out, I love the colour!

Here are a couple of preview pictures…

Sunkissed is a bright and happy garter stitch shawl knit in two colours with lace sections that grow bigger as the shawl grows and a simple picot edging. The simple lace pattern makes it ideal for new knitters.

It can easily be made smaller or larger by doing more or less lace sections but remember that the given yardage is for the pattern as shown here.
